Lantern Lit Ghost Tours

 

Are you ready to follow in the footsteps of our residents? 

 

Enjoy a lantern lit tour around one of Kent 's most paranormally active locations and hear tales of strange occurrences in the 300 year history of Fort Amherst .

 

Held on the first Friday of every month throughout 2010

From the moment you enter the tunnel complex our tales begin, for there is not a single recess that has not been the scene of something un-explained. Many of these tales have been handed down through history and generations ... but all are said to be true!

 

Once you leave the tunnel complex the tour will take you to the upper sections of the Fort where tales of the area will be told whilst taking in the stunning views over Chatham , Rochester , Strood

and the River Medway.

Tickets can be purchased either on the night, in person

between 10am-4pm Mon-Fri from the Caveyard Cafe at Fort Amherst , or

by telephone (01634 847747) with Credit or Debit Card.

 

        Important Information

  • Whilst the minimum age for this event is 8 years, we recommend that Parental / Guardian guidance as to suitability should be observed. Under 16's must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 21.
  • This event is not recommended for those with a fear of the dark, confined spaces or of a nervous disposition.
  • We recommend warm clothing and sensible footwear be worn.
  • Tour routes and times may vary subject to weather, restoration work or safety reasons.
  • Free on site parking.
  • Fort Amherst Heritage Trust, its agents, representatives or volunteers cannot be held liable or responsible for any loss of or damage to personal effects or vehicles whilst on site.
